Review:

Lesson 5 provided techniques to create attractive eLearning screens that present the need to know information concisely and interactively.

You learned how to use subheads, graphics, white spaces, and "Tell Me More" links to keep screens uncluttered and focused. It stressed that animations should inform and not distract, and that learners like to learn by discovery.

Overview:

Lesson 6 introduces the two collaborative aspects that "surround" your course with digital tools to connect eLearners peer-to-peer as well as how to utilize blended learning solutions. This lesson will enable you to:

  • Explain the use of synchronous tools within an eLearning course,
  • Plan asynchronous opportunities for learners,
  • Use webcasting tools such as Interwise,
  • Moderate online meetings,
  • Incorporate learner input into knowledge management strategies,
  • Define and identify the various blended options,
  • Separating what is taught online and what is taught in a workshop, and
  • Use ROPES to develop blended workshops.
