I am currently an associate professor of information systems (ISY)
at Baylor. I began teaching at Baylor in the Spring of 1983 as an assistant
professor. Prior to that I was a programmer/analyst and programming manager for
American Amicable Life Insurance Company in Waco, where I programmed in IBM
Assembly Language. Before that, I was an Instructor of Computer Science at East
Texas State University now Texas A&M -
Commerce . I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from
University of North Texas. My dissertation was in the area of computer
literacy in Texas High Schools.
Personal Information
My husband, Mike Milligan, owns Custom Data Products, a computer
supply company. We have two children, Mindy is a graduate student at
Baylor and Mitzi is a Senior at Texas A&M. I enjoy traveling
(Portugal & Scandanavia - 2003, France & Spain - 2002), concerts (Creed
- 2002), scuba diving (Cabo San Lucas spring break 01, Cozumel summer 01) and
reading. Currently I serve as Name Tag Chairman for Cotton Palace, Computer
Advisor for the Junior League of Waco and Alumnae Recruitment Chairman for
Alpha Chi Omega - Waco Chapter and Vice-President Waco Panhellenic.
