Biography
Ileana Maldonado is a Ph.D. candidate within the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. Her research primarily focuses on new venture finance and non-market strategy. She is interested in understanding how managing stakeholder relationships impact the value creation process in the early stages of funding. Ileana's research has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Journal of Family Business Strategy, and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research Proceedings. She has led grant initiatives, including the OSU Seed Funding for Cross-Program Initiative ($10,000) "Strengthening Oklahoma Families and Communities via Entrepreneurship", and Rowan University Fellowship ($5,000). Ileana has been part of several research exchange programs as a visiting scholar at Oklahoma State University, Boston University, Universidad de Castilla la Mancha, Spain, and Universidad de Camaway, Cuba. Ileana is certified as a financial manager by Cornell University, and has professional experience as a corporate lawyer, financial specialist, and founder and manager of a manufacturing business Ltd in Mexico.
