Remember these key points:

• The normal regimen for NuvaRing^® consists of 21 consecutive days in the woman's vagina, removal of NuvaRing^®, and seven consecutive days without NuvaRing^®. This 28-day cycle continues monthly.
• NuvaRing^® is easily self-inserted (much like a tampon) into a woman's vagina.
• The woman removes NuvaRing^® by inserting her finger(s) into the vagina and pulling out NuvaRing^®.
• The day on which a woman begins using NuvaRing^® depends on prior contraceptive methods, prior pregnancy, prior abortion, or it can be a newly begun regimen.
• Women can become pregnant if NuvaRing^® remains outside the vagina for over three hours during the 21-day regimen.
• Women should use other forms of contraception if the recommended NuvaRing^® regimen is not followed.
