Biography
Tyler Self serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor University in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation.
Previously, he served as the managing director at 10 52 Capital Management in Hong Kong. Prior to this position, he served as a principal of Vision Research Capital, which he co-founded in 2004. Tyler served as the Portfolio Manager of Vision Research Capital Fund, through which he oversaw all investment activity of the firm, and Director of Research of Vision Research Organization, where he oversaw an independent consulting service targeting institutional investors and hedge funds.
Tyler graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship, as well as a concentration in Accounting. In the year of his graduation, Tyler was the only undergraduate student from the United States to receive direct admission to the Harvard Business School MBA program.
Tyler is active in the community, serving as chairman of Videre Microfinance Institution and as a director or advisor of various charities in the United States and abroad.
Tyler and his wife Lauren have four children: Ava, Abigail, Samuel, and Noah.
