Biography
Beginning fall of 2020, I am a clinical professor of accounting at Baylor University. I am continuing to work for PwC in a part time capacity during the school year.
I have over 9 years of accounting for income tax experience (ASC 740) working within the Federal Industry group at PwC. My experience focuses on both preparation and auditing of provisions for income taxes. Specifically, I have had significant experience preparing carve out financial statements. My industry experience includes aerospace and defense, oil and gas, technology, and broadcasting.
I am a graduate of Baylor University with a Masters in Taxation, and undergraduate majors in Business Fellows and Accounting with a minor in mathematics.
Being a Business Fellow allowed for a diverse range in studies, including art history, Latin, Chinese, and marketing research. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Oxford, England, focusing on the works of JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. I also completed a thesis on the study of the Baylor Business Brand by using a marketing branding model developed by Keller.
As a graduate student at Baylor, I captained a team in the PricewaterhouseCoopers xTax competition that was selected as one of the top 5 in the nation. We had the opportunity to visit Washington DC and present our case solutions to top leaders at PwC.
