Biography

Dr. Joshua K Strakos is a Clinical Associate Professor of Management and Undergraduate Program Director at Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. He teaches Operations Management and Distribution Management. Dr. Strakos transitioned to Baylor from a twenty year, six-month career in the USAF which culminated with an assignment as an Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Director of the Advanced Studies of Air Mobility Program in the Department of Operational Sciences, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In addition, he administered AFIT’s distance learning Supply Chain Management certificate program. Dr. Strakos was an active duty logistics officer for 16 years. He first enlisted the Air Force in 1996 and entered Officer Training School in 1999. He graduated from Squadron Officer School in 2004 and Air Command and Staff College in 2010. He has held a variety of operational logistics assignments including deployments to Iraq and Qatar. He served on the AFIT faculty from 2013-2016. Dr. Strakos earned his Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Houston in 2013.
