Education:
BBA from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas
MHA (Master of Health Administration) from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Work History:
1999 to 2020: - Radiology Consultants of Texas – Practice Manager
For the last 22 years I have been employed as Medical Group Practice Manager for a radiology group practice. This group practice consists of 10 radiologists covering 7 locations. Our practice performs over 220,000 reads (interpretations of medical imaging studies) per year.
My role as Practice Manager for Radiology Consultants of Texas entails strategic leadership and proactive guidance of organizational development for provision of radiology services to area healthcare facilities. I drive reinvestment and growth initiatives that produce year over year growth, and save hundreds of thousands of dollars within the practice through consolidation of insurance programs, streamlining of business processes, and financial modeling and revenue analysis. I have accumulated extensive success and expertise in business practice, business information system applications and technology as well as marketing management.
2020 to Present: Radiology Consultants of Texas, Waco, TX - Significant ongoing consultancy that encompasses the same roles and functions of Practice Manager for Radiology Consultants of Texas.
2001 to 2014: Central Texas Advanced Medical Imaging, Waco, TX – MRI Center Manager.
Concurrently managed all Practice Administration requirements of Radiology Consultants of Texas and physician owned Central Texas Advanced MRI Center.
2008 to Summer 2020: The University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ - Online Adjunct Facilitator.
Serve as Facilitator for "Communication Skills for the Health Care Professional," “Introduction to Health Care: Riding the Fourth Wave,” “Business Communication Skills for Health Care Professionals,” and “Medical Terminology for Healthcare Professionals,” working directly with adult and career level students in the healthcare industry.
2013 to 2020: Baylor University, Hankamer School of Business Department of Management Information Systems, Waco, TX – Part-time Adjunct Lecturer.
2020 to Present: Baylor University, Hankamer School of Business Department of Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. Clinical Assistant Professor of Information Systems.
Family Life:
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, two children and I enjoy the beach, the mountains, hiking, sailing, fishing, soccer, basketball, Baylor sporting events and any and all sorts of outdoor activities.
We are active in our Church. For many years, I have taught Adult Sunday School. In the past I also taught Youth Sunday School for many years. I serve as and Elder as well.
