This year has been very exciting and challenging for the section. Under the editorship of Professor Jake Birnberg, the section successfully published our eighth volume of BRIA. We have also planned under the chair of Professor Michael Bamber a third research conference to be held in June in Las Vegas. A preliminary program is listed in this issue.
We continue to invite members to submit research notes, announcements and other information that will be of interest to our membership. We encourage all members to become active in your section by attending regional meetings, serving on committees, attending the annual business meeting and encouraging colleagues to join the section.
The newsletter also contains the working paper series compiled by Professor John Rigsby. Please note the ballot for officers that is included in this newsletter. Be sure to fill it out and forward by the deadline. Have a great summer. Look forward to seeing you all at the 1996 AAA convention in Chicago.
