The European Entrepreneurship Experience is a 36-day study abroad program which combines business school students with students from all fields of study across campus in a multi-disciplinary, multi-national program in the heart of Europe.  It gives students an opportunity to take a six-hour, project-based course which will substitute for two required or elective courses.

The dates for the Baylor International Entrepreneurship Study Abroad Program Summer 2009 are May 29, 2009 through July 1, 2009 concurrent with the first summer session at Baylor. Students will be enrolled in a 6-hour course which will provide both business and non-business students with the skills to think and work in an entrepreneurial environment. The program will visit entrepreneurial businesses in the cities of PRAGUE, MUNICH, MILAN, GENEVA, PARIS, CAEN, and LONDON. The landing beaches of NORMANDY are also part of the tour. Students will work individually and in project teams comprised of business students working with non-business students to develop a business idea and strategic plan. Business students will have the opportunity to see their business classes come to life, while non-business students will learn how to apply their unique skill set toward a business concept.

Primary emphasis will be placed on marketing concerns, intellectual property issues, economic analysis, and business plan preparation. Other issues to be investigated include identifying venture opportunities, concept development, market analysis, pricing, budgeting, legal forms of organization, management of the team, and business valuation and dilution. The students will apply this knowledge by preparing a business or strategic plan for an existing company and presenting that plan to a panel of judges.

Students enrolled in this program will receive six hours of Baylor credit. (See following pages for more information.)
