Biography

Dr. Nisha Kulangara is an Assistant Professor of Management at Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. She teaches Procurement and Materials Management. Dr. Kulangara’s research focuses on the role of contractual and relational governance mechanisms in an outsourcing context within the manufacturing industry. Her overall research agenda lies in demonstrating the impact of developing trusting relationships with supply chain partners and achieving several positive outcomes for all stakeholders. This can be achieved by nurturing deeper relationships with key suppliers who are strategically aligned with the company’s vision and mission. Dr. Kulangara received her Ph.D. in Management Science from University of Texas Arlington in spring 2016. She won the “Outstanding teaching award” for excellence in teaching at UT Arlington. Prior to joining Baylor in Fall 2017, she worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Duquesne University.
