About Dr. Cunningham


Dr. Cunningham joined the Baylor finance faculty in 1984.  After finishing his doctorate at Ohio State University in 1983, he served as senior economist at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) in Washington, D.C., immediately prior to Baylor.  Six years after joining the faculty, he was appointed Associate Dean for Graduate Programs in the Hankamer School of Business. 

During his eight year tenure he founded the executive MBA programs in Dallas and Waco. Before his graduate studies, Dr. Cunningham was employed as a CPA in the audit division of KPMG and later he was employed as manager of internal audit at Crystal Oil Co.

Dr. Cunningham's research articles are published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Housing Finance Review, Journal of Financial Planning, Journal of Financial Services Research, Credit and Financial Management Review, Secondary Mortgage Markets, and Engineering Economist. He continues to consult in the area of stock and mortgage portfolio valuation.
