2002 ABO Research Conference

The 2002 ABO Research Conference was held in Dallas, Texas on October 18-19. Fifty-six people attended the conference. Thirty-two research papers were presented and an editors' panel was also included. A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the ABO Lifetime Contribution Award to Anthony Hopwood.

I appreciate the participation of all concerned, particularly that of the presenters and reviewers. I was amazed at the level of support; a total of 174 ABO members volunteered to review papers. Although I did not have to utilize such a large number of reviewers, the generous offer to help was greatly appreciated.
